We love this place.. last few times we have had crappy service.. not this time.. I'm going to probably butcher her name. Luckily the manager angel knows who I'm speaking of.. I believe her name is Nadina. She was great. Came on my birthday. I wanted no birthday fuss. She was awesome. Refills stayed full. Appetizers came out before meal like it should..just all around great meal.. she cleared plates. Basically anything I normally get irratated at she did!!

The food - 3stars The service - 4.5 stars The smell at the entrance - 0 stars! The service at the Round Rock location is really exceptional - no doubt. Our salad, breadsticks and beverages were always replenished. Food was good and brought out nice and hot. The waiter checked on us just enough, BUT... there is ALWAYS a very off putting smell in the front... like a wet mop. We come here for lunch pretty often and I notice it every single time. tI don't know if its the bathroom or what but it's not appealing at all. We come for lunch and once, the smell was so strong it almost ruined my appetite.

Had a great experience. Food came really fast and our waitress was great. The wait was not long being that it was just my husband and I. I ordered the lasagna and it was so cheesy just the way I like it, and the meat sauce was good. The salads are always good and so was the soft bread sticks. For desert we ordered the bread pudding and it was OK. I should have stuck with my guts and ordered the lemon cake. Overall it was a pleasant experience and we will be returning.

First time since 2001 when I graduated from college. That time was so horrible we vowed never to come back. 13 years later and looking for something different, we tried it again and what a difference time has made. It was really good and we are already planning the next visit. Tip: we had the chicken n shrimp cabanaro and shrimp appetizer.

Olive garden is great! I absolutely love their unlimited salad and breadsticks. Also, I got the fettuccine alfredo, and it was very good. The waitor was very nice, and was replenishing are drinks, salad, soups and breadsticks. Overall, Olive garden has great food and service.

I went to this Olive Garden today with a party of 7 and we arrived there at about 4pm before it became busy. After being seated at a table for 6, and an extra chair added on the end so not a lot of table surface space to start with. The waitress arrived with a bottle of wine and asked if we wanted to sample the wine. My father was the only one interested. He said he normally preferred red wine and asked if this white was any good. She replied that she wouldn't know because she was too young to drink. After the sample he did ask for a red which she brought but kept mentioning that he could sample up to 3. I am not sure if she wanted him to try a third or was trying to make sure he could only try one other but I got the impression she was implying that he had enough. We ordered 3 appetizers for our group. when she came almost immediately back to take our entree order, we asked that all of our food not be brought out at the same time (appetizers, salad and entrees. there isn't enough room and everything gets cold) that we wanted to have time to eat a course before the next thing was brought out. She assured us she would have them hold the entree order until after the appetizers and the salads. The appetizers were brought out, she didn't bring plates. She said she would be right back with them. After she left I noticed a large hair on one of the appetizers, we didn't want them with the hair. After 10 min she hadn't returned and still no plates. After 15 min, we got the manager and showed him the hair, he said to leave it and that he was timing the waitress to see how long before she came back. At 20 min the manager and a different waitress returned with our salad, still no plates for the now cold and hairy appetizers. We asked them to please remove the appetizers. The manager said he would have them remade and they would bring us more salad. At this point the first waitress reappeared asked if we needed anything, we asked for drink refills, yes we had to ask for more drinks when there were 7 empty glasses. A young man walked up behind my brother in law and set up a stand and placed half of our entrees on it to get cold and walked away. He returned about 5 minutes later with the rest of the entrees and began serving them. All of us were still trying to eat our salad and the appetizers had not been remade. I had to ask the young man to remove the empty salad serving bowls and the empty bread baskets so I could put my salad plate back on the table. We hurried and finished our salads and stacked the empty salad plates together so we had a little more room. They only removed empty plates or serving dishes from our table if we handed it to them and asked if they could take it. Half of my father's chicken was raw. When we showed our waitress she asked him to cut it for her and said maybe it just looked raw because it was red sauce. I don't think she understood that she was trying to explain to a butcher of over 50 years that is married to a chef what raw chicken looked like. The manager came back to check on us and we showed him the raw chicken. he said let me see what I can do and left. The waitress returned and offered to get our check. Returned again and asked if we wanted dessert, when we didn't she said she would get our check. They removed the appetizers and my father's entree from our bill. The service was seriously lacking. We had to ask for everything and somethings we had to ask for a few times. I understand that everyone has off days and some times restaurants are understaffed and I can and will tolerate a lot and still tip and tip well normally. We have been to other Olive Gardens in the area as well as other states, and I have never had hair in my food, raw food or bad service at any other. But the thing that bothered me the most when we mentioned the hair, the manager didn't look shocked or upset, his facial expression never changed we even had to ask them to take it off the table. It was left on our table after the manger was shown like we were still going to want to eat it. When we showed our waitress raw chicken, raw chicken that could have made someone sick or sent someone to the hospital, she tried to play it off and act like we didn't know the difference between cooked and raw chicken. When the manager returned again and was shown raw chicken, he didn't seem phased by it at all. It makes me think that it isn't out of the ordinary. Yes they removed the appetizers that were served with someone's hair in them and they removed a raw chicken entree from the bill but still brought the rest of the bill and I never once heard an apology. Not one time did I hear I'm sorry your food has a hair in it or that we didn't do our job or that we didn't cook your food to a safe temperature, they did however feel capable to deliver the rest of the bill. I really don't recommend this location at all maybe if they hire new staff that care about what they are doing but our manager and server didn't

Very friendly and amazing service even when getting triple sat. Managers stopped by at least twice during our hour of dinner.

This location is super busy during lunch hours. The wait staff has been hit and miss, some times it is great, other time it is really annoying. The food is consistently good, but not great. I think their drink selection sucks, crappy lemonade, not regular sweet tea, and even their water has a weird mineral taste to it.

Mary H is the SWEETEST person ever!!! By far the best service we've ever had anywhere! This woman needs a major raise!

Great Service! From the moment you walk in to the hostess, until you walk out past the hostess, it is a professional, courteous, and service orientiented staff. The manager makes the rounds, the food is excellent, great for the family!!!! My family and I will make it a regular stop for dinner! Can't wait to try lunch sometime!

All I can say is that I won't be going back to this Olive Garden! Took forever to get my food. and when it came out is was very dry. very little Alfredo had to ask for more. and it took ten min to get it. Then ask for a manager and it took ten min to talk to a manager. They took my food off my bill.

Fine I-talian food! Just kidding... I love the unlimited soup and salad. The regular salad dressing is bit sour for my taste so I ask for 1000 island dressing instead in soups I like the Zupa Toscana and that is pretty much it for me at Olive Garden.

my family makes its once/yr obligatory visit to this Olive Garden, and every time we end up asking ourselves why. food is non-objectionable, but main issue is cost. 2 adult meals, one child's meal and 2 drinks was pushing $50 after tip. no amt of free salad and bread sticks could ever make me feel alright about that. service, ambiance nice.... but not $50 nice.

Great food but dinner hours, the spaghetti or fettuccine may not be at the best quality (too soft and soggy)

The experience my bf and I have had at this Olive Garden has been awesome. We've had the best customer service and the best waiters/waitresses. The times we have gone have been weekdays in the evenings. I thought my reviews had posted, but I guess not. A waitress we had the other night was awesome. She has a cherry tattoo on her right forearm in honor of her grandfather. She was the sweetest person and really engaging as well as very attentive to ours and her other customers needs.

My wife and I attempted to eat here Friday night. The only word that comes to mind about the food is "Frozen". Shrimp and Chicken - It was OBVIOUS, My wife actually sent hers back, in return, the waiter offered another dish'. My wife declined and asked for minestrone soup instead. Ten minutes later he returns with the soup. She said it was horrible, when we asked the waiter if they changed something about the soup, he replied "No, I add lemon juice to all my patrons' soup and they love it!" HORRIBLE ! We'll never eat at an Olive Garden again. NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Fair price as both my daughters ordered off the kids menus. The smell of cheese and dirty bleach rags are getting to the point of no return. Staff was professional. My daughters keep me coming back to this place. My sacrifices :)

I love one thing at Olive Garden, and one thing only. Bottomless soup and salad. The salad, well everyone knows the salad is terrific. But the Tuscana soup gets me every time and keeps me coming back. But this visit....well, it's generally this location, the service is rarely good. On this visit, we had an Afro-American who I think was stuck in time from the 1980s, with his ridiculous 'stove-pipe' Afro. Ok, fine, I'm probably picking on him because of his choice of style, but that's because his level of service was terrible. He could be frequently seen screwing off or dancing a 'jig' in the server station, while he told me 4 times 'I'll be right back with more peach tea'. He brought the wrong item to the table twice. I dunno. Maybe Olive Garden needs to implement weekly drug testing or re-evaluate their hiring and training process. At other OG locations, I think the service is terrific. Just sayin'l

So I ate here about 2 months ago and SWORE to leave a negative review. I forgot about that, but thanks to a friendly yelp reminder that I was here, it's all come back to me. We came here the day before Valentine's day and this place was packed. We decided to tough out the 2 hour wait on a Friday night, because we wanted to get rid of a $25 gift card. So what went wrong? 1. Our waiter, was having a horrible night. Drinks weren't being refilled. 2. He was constantly forgetting to bring things (napkins, hot sauce, utensils, etc) 3. He was always disappearing and hard to find. 4. The coupon debacle Yes. So after we, a party of 4 + 2 kids, were sat down, but before we ordered our meal, one of our table members had a valid online coupon, but it was showing expired (it was emailed to her; promotion ended on the 16th her coupon showed expired on the 12th) for a free dessert or appetizer. When the waiter called his supervisor (long hair, ponytail, slacks, didn't catch a name) she tried very hard to not honor the coupon. The conversation ended with we'll see what we can do after your meal. Annoyed, I took it upon myself to sign up for their online newsletter, so I could also get a coupon emailed to me as well (because I had a feeling that I was going to need it). We ordered our meal, but constantly tried to get the waiter's attention whenever we saw him pass by for things like refills, napkins, sauces, etc. By the time we finished dinner, i'd say that several of us at the table were not happy with the service, and nobody was really liking the supervisor/manager. By the time the waiter showed him, it showed his supervisor had "compromised" the bill by giving us a $5 discount rather than discounting a full appetizer. Triumphantly, I pointed out to the waiter, Yo, I actually have a VALID coupon and showed him my phone. He then called his supervisor, who came out looked at it, and for whatever reason she seemed annoyed that I had it, but relented and honored the coupon. When it came time to pay, we were all so upset, but I still left a tip for the waiter. I concluded that he was having an off night, but I could imagine how hard his job is when working with that particular supervisor. Bottom Line: Seriously, this night had to be one of the WORST experiences I've ever had at a restaurant in my life. I mean I can understand a 2 hour wait, or a waiter having an off night, but WTF was up with that supervisor? We definitely won't be eating here ever again. I really would never recommend this location. Avoid it like the plague.

This was a to-go order... So I had the Citrus Chicken Sorrento, and it was the grossest meal I have had in years. The broccoli tasted like fish... and not like cooked food fish, more like a fish that is dead on the shore... The chicken was tender, but the sauce and overall flavor was akin to a bad, frostbitten TV dinner that you should have thrown out because you had it in the freezer for two years. The squash seemed ok, but it's proximity to the way-overcooked dead-fish-broccoli rendered it off limits... if only I had treated the whole plate like that. But wait, it gets worse! So I decide not to eat the veggies, and I just eat the chicken and my salad... What can I say, I was hungry, and I really didn't want to drive back to that hellishly busy restaurant and return my food... mistake! I was sick for nearly a week. That was the last meal I could eat at all for 4 days. I will leave out what happened to me, but lets just say it was my worst intestinal event ever... My wife had one of those buy one get two deals, I think Spaghetti with meat sauce and Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The had the fettuccine the next day and said the chicken seemed bad... I eat here a lot, and I usually regret it, but usually for the poor service, not the unsafe food... the take-out food at this location is usually served to the curb between 10 and 45 minutes later than promised, and is frequently cold. They used to use a warmer, but now they bag it in advance, and then let it sit on the counter forever while you wait outside... The wait person will come by and apologize over and over for the lateness, but it is always late. It seems like the food is ready on time, but the restaurant is too chaotic, the curbside waiter is too busy taking orders on the phone, and in general they just don't have their act together... and it has been this way for a couple of years. It was better before they started promoting curbside. Before curbside, the take-out was always hot and fresh, but you had to go in the restaurant and get ignored for 20 minutes before you got your food, that was still hot. But good service isn't what I come here for, so I deal with it. I come here because my wife frequently craves Italian, and I don't always want to spend the time to cook it myself, so I stop in here on the way home from work. And I almost always regret it. This time I regretted it most of all. It's been nearly a week since I ate there, and while I'm starting to eat a bit now, my digestion is totally out of wack, and it's pretty clear to me I got food poisoning from whatever they did to make my broccoli taste like dead fish. From now on, when my wife wants food there, I'll go to Bo for my dinner, and steer clear. This location is the pitts... but perhaps curbside has ruined all of the locations. In general they revamped their menu some time ago, and it has been awful ever since then. And it was never great in the first place. Before curbside I used to sometimes order the togo from the bar, but the drinks were so watered down that I stopped doing that. I would order a drink that called for zero water in the recipe, and I would watch the guy mix it with 50% water... And I talked to someone that worked as a waiter, and they explained that watering drinks down is actually a real thing, not just something that cranky reviewers falsely claim... Many restaurants have a policy of diluting mixed drinks as a standard practice. I get better food and better service at Taco Bell...

Back in the early 90s olive garden used to be the place to take a homecoming or prom date and I still find myself loving this place for its tea, soup and salad. Where else can you get a boxy slab of tiramisu? My 1 star rating and reason for possibly not ever returning is the To Go ordering. If my wife and I want a quick lunch w soup or salad we drop in and pay 7.99 a piece and we are in and out w unlimited soup and salad. We can even mix up which soups we want. I avg about 3 bowls of soup and 2 salads when dinning in. Here is what pissed me off. I order the same thing to go and my price is $33 and I'm getting less food possibly. When u take out soup & salad u get one soup and one salad. So I was greated with the charge of paying per soup when I ordered 2 for each. I get wanting to limit the amount. For take out there should be a avg soup amount you can get. I got a little sarcastic and made a few snipes at the To go counter and they basically said tough shit. I even gave my avg soup amount analogy. No comment... Haha. They then tried to tell me I get extra soup in each container. WRONG! Anyway want was supposed to be a 20.00 meal for 2 and a decent amount of food ended up being 33.00 and now I'm cranky! Won't be coming back for a while or until maybe my son or daughter go to Prom in 2022. Ha

We ordered the FOUR COURSE - FESTA ITALIANA. I ordered the following: Small Plate: The Chicken Meatballs which were extremely dense and their was actually no taste of chicken. It was absolutely hard and horrible. Entree: Smoked Mozzarella Chicken, I ate about 3 bites in the restaurant and asked for the remainder to be boxed up to take home. I have pictures of how gummy it is and how much oil is sitting in. It is an oily and gummy mess with no actual flavor. Dolcini: Amaretto Tiramisu, this was almost soupy. Soup: Zuppa Toscana, the soup didn't look like the picture. It had hardly any kale or Italian Sausage in it at all. The flavor was good for a Potato

It was the best service that I've ever seen!! Waiter was coming to us so many times and brought extra bread and extra drink, extra soup, and all time asked if wee need something more. And we were so surprised with check. $35 for two adults and two kids. And food was just delicious.

My family are here last Saturday since this is one of my sons favorite places. Would have given it 5 stars if the broccoli that came with my husband's meal was cooked at all. It was like eating raw broccoli. He doesn't eat carbs so the veggies can't be an after thought. The description was that it was roasted with garlic and Parmesan but the garlic looked like it was a spoonful of the jarred stuffed dumped in a pile. No Parmesan to be found and definitely not roasted. . Had to bring it home to finish cooking it.

I can see why this location of Olive Garden rates a half star above the other locations in our area. Both my husband and I were satisfied with our entrees and we were a group of 9 and I heard no complaints. Choices by our group ranged from unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks , to child's spaghetti with meat balls, Tour of Italy, veggie lasagna, spaghetti with extra meat sauce, eggplant parm, light herb salmon with steamed fresh broccoli, etc etc. To start service was shaky- all but 3 of us were present and no one greeted or claimed us for over 5 minutes. Veronica remedied that by asking about division of the bill and started taking drink orders but then disappeared and returned to announce Jason would be our server and would be by shortly. He returned with partial drink orders and we got him up to speed on where we were in the dining experience and by that time our party was complete. I asked if we could move forward and order and he immediately went to the task. He was very pleasant and professional. Our appetizer arrived, and soon after that breadsticks and salad appeared as did my soup ( minestrone ). As the salads and soup was finished we requested more bread which Jason promptly delivered and then our entrees arrived. This area was also a little choppy with time lapses between the arrival of everybody's food- usually I'm not a stickler for waiting until all are served just because it doesn't appear to be many restaurants priority any more, ---however since this was our grand daughters 17th birthday and a special occasion I requested we all wait patiently and begin together ( and since I'm old as dirt- everyone complied)! When the birthday girl and her mom left the table for a restroom break ( we always go in two's-lol) Jason asked if we had brought a cake or wanted a dessert for her. I ordered one of their little party cakes which when she returned Jason and another young man brought the cake- initiated the Happy Birthday song- lit the candle - delivered little plates and clean spoons and Hannah happily cut it into petite portions for all. So good conversation and catching up with a few peeps we hadn't seen for a while, a casual birthday party on the side, along with good food and good service at a fair price=4 star. That's how I roll. I have no doubt we will return. After all other than Grandmas Kitchen, it's Hannah's favorite!

It is your typical Olive Garden. It is a safe bet as always. I was seated promptly, and waited on quickly. Which I like. I ordered the chicken parmesan. I know most people consider The Olive Garden to be not great Italian food, but I like it because I know my meal will be perfect everytime.

We ate here last night with some friends. The food and company were so good that we forgot to take photos to post on yelp. I had the lasagne. Wifey had a small part of a plate called "The Tour of Italy". Plate was larger than we thought. So we will be sharing that for lunch today. (Her guided Tour of Italy had fettuccine alfredo, lasagna, and chicken parmigiana.) Our friends also enjoyed their meal. And we all split a dessert afterwards. Good food and good service!

Mary is the best server! My kids and I came in for dinner one night and even though the place was packed and our server was obviously very busy, she found the time to make my kids laugh and turned what would have been an average dinner into a fantastic evening. She even suggested the tilapia with broccoli, and WOW! All the food was on point. The salad was fresh, breadsticks were hot & we loved everything.

Ok, yes, its Olive Garden. I was expecting that. What I didn't expect? Having food that was extremely fresh, hot, and delicious! Zuppa Tuscana has changed. The base is still there, but now its rich and hearty, the kale has chew to it, and bacon? Yup. Glazed pork medallion flatbread with balsamic onions and cheese with FRESH BASIL?!? MMMMM! New small plate dishes, Tour of Italy dishes...everything was actually AMAZING. At an OLIVE GARDEN. Yeah... Food was a solid 3 stars, which to me, is above average. Why I gave outbursts was our server, Mary. Friendly, talkative, attentive...we wanted for nothing. Absolutely stellar service. So much so that my wife, who rarely tips more than 10-15%, gave her a 25% tip!!! Go to this Olive Garden, ask for Mary, and have a pleasant, positive dining experience. Treat her right though...she will treat YOU well.

Its Olive Garden. There. Salad and Pasta Figioli is consistently delish!! I think I've finally grown out of my Olive Garden bread-sticks addiction, because I could do without them. My daughter saw a commercial for them recently and said she "had to go there" for some pasta. I rarely get the opportunity to do something with just her & I, so I made a date, got a sitter and took her out for dinner. We found the commercial pasta, lol, and thankfully it was on the 2 for $25 deal. (score!) We had the New Parmesan Crusted Prosciutto Tortellini, with the fixins and had leftovers for the next day. Was it good? Um, cheese, noodles and bacon.. okay, "prosciutto".. of course it was good! But, I've come to realize with Italian food, when you make a lot yourself, going commercial can be a let down. I chose the Black Tie dessert and were I almost never complain about chocolate, I really thought was TOO MUCH. Their dessert options are full of mousse's, and chocolate's.. gimmie some good old NY Cheesecake. Anywho.. 2 dinners, salads, soups, breadsticks, and 1 desert (the 2 for $25 is ONE desert, boo.... and honestly, they aren't big enuff to share-- well, maybe for some people).. fort $40 w tip. Was okay.. Our service was great. Russell was attentive and friendly!

This Olive Garden was overall great. Everybody was nice, but I happened to get a bad waiter. Stephen (sorry, I'm calling you out) was nice, but inappropriate. I overheard him making fun of a "fat cheerleader" at his old high school and making comments on how she always had to be at the bottom of the pyramid, while making hand gestures to emphasize how big she was. I have no words to really describe how rude that was. He was kind to us, but overall obnoxious and very inappropriate. As for the good part. Jerem...et? Jerret? I'm really not sure exactly what his name was completely changed my experience. He was super sweet when we asked for the check (after Stephen took 15 minutes of chatting up the other tables after we asked him), and then came over and played with my 1 year old around the restaurant. He helped us out and really made the night. Definitely a sweet guy, and the manager was very accommodating too. I usually refuse to make negative reviews but I felt like sharing my experience. Stephen - super kind but needs some work on being professional and time efficient.

I come to Olive Garden pretty frequently, and I've never really had any problems. Today I tried to call in a Togo order, before I could even speak I was immediately put on hold for 10 minutes! Personally I think being on hold for 10 minutes is a little ridiculous. So I hung up and called back. Rachel answered and was extremely rude, she told me that no one forgot about me that they were just busy, so I place my order and she tells me it will be about a 30 minute wait and my food will be ready at 7:50, but it's only 6:10 at this time, so I ask her if it's going to be 30 minutes or over an hour, and she is rude and tells me "30 minutes at 6:30" and then says thank you and hangs up before I can even speak. The best advice I can give is to go inside and eat inside of dealing with rude people over the phone.

We were there for an hour when we were told 30 minutes, they gave our first table away and then delayed telling us they did the same thing with our second table, the hostess, I don't know her name, let's call her beth, beth was unhelpful and forgettable. It was awful service and beth is an awful hostess/pterodactyl wench and should be fired, not loose her job, lit on fire and pushed out of the building

My family and I went to this location last night for dinner. We had not been to Olive Garden in a few years. Our waiter was excellent. He gave excellent customer service. But the food could have been better. The pasta I ordered was dry and it seemed that it had been sitting out. My husband ordered chicken parm which came with a side of spaghetti and sauce. However the sauce looked like a can of tomatoes was opened and poured on top. He said it had no flavor. My daughter's macaroni and cheese was dry as well and didn't have much flavor or much cheese on it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great but the prices have definitely increased and the quality of food really is not worth the price.

Why I do chains when I have Austin Awesomeness? Well, I was craving their "salad & breadsticks," so I came for a super early dinner. First of all, there was no seating for 1 unless I sat in the bar area so knowing I didn't want to wait 25 minutes for this place, I took the last booth in the bar. There was 1 waiter for the entire area, which didn't seem big, but it was packed and with tables of a minimum of four. Once I finally met my waiter, the first thing he said was, "I'm working this whole area by myself." "Okay thanks, I'll have a water with lemon and mango martini." So let's start there - the mango martini - maybe the bartender didn't think I was 21 because it tasted like ginger ale & mango purée with no rum. So pass on that or any signature cocktail; stick with wine so it cannot be tampered with. I ate 1 bowl of salad & all the basket of breadsticks, but he never offered me more. He did however ask me if I wanted to take some home with my leftovers, but I declined (they're not tasty reheated, even in the oven). Onto the entree.....I had the Pappardelle Pescatore, which was: Sautéed shrimp, bay scallops and clams tossed tomatoes with pappardelle pasta, fresh asparagus and tomatoes in a creamy, red pepper seafood sauce. Pending seasonal availability. For $16.99, I thought that wasn't bad for the type of seafood in this dish. Well, the bay scallops tasted like they had been scraped from the bottom of a shrimp boat, the clams were fishy tasting and the shrimp were shrimpy so the quality was not good whatsoever. The huge chunks of tomato were unusual and the pasta tastes reheated from a microwave rather than freshly boiled. I guess this is to be expected from chain restaurants. It seems chains like this are going down in quality but up in price. I'm definitely never coming back to not only this one, any of the Olive Gardens especially since there are so many authentic restaurants to try!

I love Olive Garden; it's my favorite restaurant. They get 4 stars because I've never had a to go pick up order correct. (Always check it before you leave). However, the guy that works it is a fav. He's very personable and nice. The staff is good and consistent. It's worth the wait to get breadsticks fresh out of the oven if you have a choice. If they get my order wrong in house hey always fix it with no hassle.

It used to be great but now its starting to get cheap. My friend got the alfredo with chicken and the chicken was very chewy and unpleasant. I got the chicken ghocchi soup and things such as dumplings were missing. Olive Garden generally looks very clean and so do the bathrooms, but the floor under the tables are sometimes quite messy(no people were sitting in the tables near that time). I'm most likely not going back to this restaurant.

The rating is for the soup and salad special only. That's all I ever order at the Olive Garden and it is great! The salad is perfectly chilled and crisp with a nice Italian dressing. The soup is good too. I have never tried anything else but I can vouch for the soup and salad!

My service (via Justin) was GREAT. The food....just "OK". They lose a star because the famous breadsticks were not available until I had already finished my soup. (Problems in the kitchen I was told.) The Chicken & Gnocchi soup was good but could have been hotter as it brings out the flavor. I ordered the stuffed Chicken Marsala which was good, but NOT $16.99-good. For the portion received, $12.99 would have been more to my liking. They lost another star because of the dessert. I ordered Tiramisu and it was tasteless but somewhat pricey ($6.49). It really had almost no flavor and was very disappointing compared to other Tiramisus I have had. Iced tea was good but, again, not $2.59 good. For a total of $28.00, there are so many better places to eat for HALF THIS PRICE. Won't be back anytime soon if at all.

Always have good food here. Service is good. Lunch time tend to be somewhat noisy. Wish they'd bring back the Apricot Chicken dish. It was yummy. Bread sticks and salad are the best with soup. EXCELLENT!

Only reason im remotely even giving this two stars is because the Waitress was so kind. Other then that this place is ridiculous. We wait a hour to be seated. Then it takes a whole hour and a half for us to receive the food we ordered. Our appetizers came quick as a bee but heres the crazy part. EVERY single person seated after us ordered and ate and left before we even got our food delivered. Manager came by to check in on us and my girlfriend said we've been here waiting for hour n a half and food just got delivered? All the manager could say was "Oh...im sorry". Like what happened to customer satisfaction. I dont ask for much when i eat out as I was raised on tips and know how hard rush hours can be. But this is how your management training and experience run things? Im surprised i had the paitence to wait for this horrible experience to be over, should of just paid for the appetiziers that actually came and left this. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND coming here.

2pm and very empty. My daughter and I are here for lunch. We were sat right away. Then the waiting started. Slow service. Slow from start to finish. The salad was wilted and the bread sticks were stale. It took a long time for everything. Our server was rude. This is the second bad visit at this location.

I always have issues with this place. Mostly with carry out... Missing food items, cold food, waiting way longer than they said and a bunch of stupid randomness. Why do I keep coming here?!?!? Idk! Guess I should stop.

Haven't been to an Olive Garden in a long time; went with spouse for late lunch. Ordered the endless soup & salad. Got one bowl of soup and one drink, despite asking the waitress for another bowl. She brought my spouse another, and another drink. Didn't even ask me when she came back, if I wanted more. Their chicken and gnocchi soup has got better since its debut, but my experience was soured by paying $7 for 1 bowl of soup and a coke.

Endless soup and salad is a great deal; I'm not a fan of salads but I do lovetheirs. The soups tend to be on the salty side. And of course bread sticks are delish! Service was so bad the last time (actually a different location) i went that we didn't come back for over a year. This time they did really good for our large group, gave us two servers, and everything went pretty quick and smooth. we all went home fat and happy and full of those yummy breadsticks! I wouldn't come back too often since it's chain italian food, but it's a decent meal once in a while. Good for work lunches too. and did i mention how good the breadsticks are? all in all, they are consistent and you know what to expect every time you eat there.

Went to Olive Garden for the first time in YEARS!!! This one is very nice, the inside has more of a home feeling. I went with a friend and his wife, plus their 16 month old. The reason I give 5 stars, one of the waiters Anish (I probably just butchered his name), was amazing with the 16 month old! This 16 month old loves his grapes and was telling everyone to bring him more, they were homies by the end of the dinner. But Anish wasnt even out waiter, he was just walking by and saw talked with him everytime, it was cool. The buy one entree get a 2nd to take home was cool too. 2 dinners for one price.

Didn't think people still sat down and ate at chain restaurants like this. My husband called for carryout and were placed on hold for 8 mins. Called back to wait another 5. Finally placed my order (was not asked my vehicle info for them to bring it out) and once we arrived found out the wait was over an hour. Would have appreciated the girl answering the phone to at least mention they were busy to not feel so ignored on the phone. Food was as always, bland, microwave-dinner-like. Only went since they that 3 courses for $10.

We had a blast here. Went for my friend's daughter's 18th birthday. The fried zucchini rocked. The managers were fabulous. Two of them came to our table and chatted with us. They were great. The service was good too. I would come back for sure.

Pleasantly surprised and we enjoyed dinner. Matter of fact we are going back. We can get 2+ meals per person with the quantities they give. We always have leftover for lunch the next day. The quality was not too bad and I have become a believer.

Well the other night the wife wanted Italian and didn't want to o t the local place; she was carving the oyster/pasta dish. So we arrived and were greeted and seated right away even though they seemed full. We started with the famous and well like salad and bread sticks, even thought I tend not to like thing with garlic on it I do like these bread sticks. Our waitress was great and did her job well. I think they have improved on food, service and everything else over the past few years. For our main dish the wife ordered the Capellini di Mare which included shrimp, clams and mussels sautéed in white wine, garlic and a zesty marinara sauce. Served over capellini and topped with fresh basil. I had the Tour of Italy which included homemade lasagna, lightly breaded chicken parmigiana and creamy fettuccine alfredo. Skittle me do, I liked mine so much I ate it all and my wife ate all of hers. We both enjoyed our food and service. Would I (we) go back? Yes we will and much sooner now.

As another Yelper put it, tremendous service. Excellent attentiveness from not only your waiter, but everyone else that walks by and pitches in to pick up an empty plate or refill your beverage. Food and wine... yes, that was good too. Phenomenal, no; good, yes.

What can I say? I love this place, no matter which one I go to. The food is consistently delicious and the decor is always pleasant. Although a chain restaurant, this place obviously takes pride in serving great tasting food for a very reasonable price. I wish they had Olive Garden restaurants on every corner, like Starbucks!

I am posting this review specifically to address the many negative comments about frozenfood, sub-par Italian, etc. First of all, I find it laughable that people are complaining about the quality, being shocked that it doesn't compare to some high-dollar eatery or that little place they went to on the outskirts of Venice. It's a chain restaurant, people! That means the food is pretty much the same whether you're in Oregon, Texas, or Maine. It's nothing great, but judging by the fact that it's ALWAYS packed must mean they're doing something right. Maybe the patrons just don't have the sophisticated palate of some of the reviewers here who routinely drop a C-bill when they go out. It's not fair to compare their $12 meal to a place that charges much more. There's few dishes that I've ever been disappointed with, and the vast majority is perfectly acceptable to have me come back. Things I DON'T like about the place: Their marinara sauce is horrible and the drinks are too expensive. Things I DO like: All their soups, the salad, and there's some real bargains in meals under $12 like the Ravioli Portobello. My rule is simple: The more expensive a dish is in a chain restaurant, the higher the chance that you'll be disappointed.

Atmosphere: Your typical Olive Garden experience. I'm assuming anyone reading Yelp has been to Olive Garden, so not much more needs to be said lol. Service: The service at this location has been on point every time I've gone. They're quick, friendly and efficient. They almost give me TOO many refills, I'm not complaining but that gives you an idea as to how much attention you will get at this location. Food: It's Olive Garden, so the food is mediocre in the realm of Italian food. As much people know, it's difficult to find really good but affordable Italian in the Austin area. I assume that's why Olive Garden is one of the few successful chains in Austin heh. That being said, the food here comes out fresher than the one closer to my house. I've never had something brought out that has had the oil separate from the sauce unlike most other Olive Gardens. Which is a step in the right direction. Price: I always think the price for their food is too much. Though you have to keep in mind, the soup, salad and breadsticks are part of the cost. I mean....it's "free" with meal, but the meals are a bit over priced so...you're paying for the salad, soup and breadsticks you're getting heh. Overall: I'm not a big Olive Garden fan but this particular location is the first one I've been to in Austin that I can stand, which says a lot for anyone that knows me :P

This olive garden gets four stars because it is the best Olive Garden in the Austin Area. The service is tremendous, always refilling water, asking if you want more salad or bread sticks, and doing a great job of checking up without being overbearing. The inside is one of the nicer olive garden's I've seen, it feels so welcoming because it's open. The bar and waiting areas are also a plus. Everything was clean at our table (minus the wear and tear of hundreds of people sitting on cheap leather) . Compared to other chain restaurants, I was oddly surprised at how it didn't feel as "chain-y'. The food is, well it's a huge chain with frozen meats and vegetables and pasta. I felt the pasta was freshly cooked because it seemed like it wasn't strained entirely through. Might be a good or bad thing (cooked properly, not enough prep work) but I'll lean on good job for that. The bread sticks didn't have enough garlic and butter though! I mean come on I want to get fat here, but still it's fine. The meat was cooked well almost to where I didn't notice it was frozen before (I said almost...). Nevertheless, the food is a 3 compared to all restaurants, just average. But the atmosphere is what really takes this particular location over the top. If you want an average lunch/dinner at a place that feels cleaner than any other chain, go to the Olive Garden on Sundance, if you go to another one, you'll realize why everyone hates Olive Garden.

The food is always good. The service is always good. My friend always has a complicated order that they're always willing to accommodate. Also one of my favorite places to go on a date (sit at the bar - the bartenders are fun!) Love it here

I remember that years ago I used to HATE The Olive Garden. What changed? Me? The kitchen? Who knows... I can tell you that we had a delicious dinner here last night, and our waitress was awesome. Our waitress opened up the conversation telling us about the new specials and asking what brought us out on a Monday? "Just didn't want to heat up the house by using the kitchen?" Nah, we were at Lowe's. Turns out she used to work in Home Depot in the flooring department (the item we were looking at) and she gave us some quick advice. I got the impression she wouldn't have been so chatty if we had not welcomed the conversation. When it was time to take our orders for drinks, dinner, or desert she talked TO my seven year old, and didn't just look at one of the adults to tell her what she wanted. She asked questions of her, made suggestions, and made sure that my kid was going to get what she wanted. I love that - my kid is a person, too, and can talk. (please get a clue everyone - talk TO kids, not at them) My wife had a grilled shrimp pasta thing that overwhelmed the table with the smell of shrimp. I think she enjoyed it, but she has a yelp account, too, so she can write her own review. :) My kiddo is a ravioli fiend and she must have swallowed them whole because they disappeared before I could get 1/3 through my dinner. I had the new lasagna rolls, and while the pasta was a bit chewy the blend of cheeses and the sauce was fantastic. They have the little desert options that so many restaurants are getting, and they had the option to pick three. We each picked one and split the desert. They were all consumed with vigor! I got the Limoncello cream and it was light with a pleasant citrus flavor. If you go to Olive Garden in Round Rock at La Frontera ask for Linda to be your server. It was a very enjoyable evening.

Food was delish, but service left much to be desired. Our server was on slow mode which made lunch with 3 small kids ridiculous. It was my daughters birthday and they didn't do anything for her since she couldn't have dairy, not even sing. I had to find the manager to pay my bill because we had already been there for two hours and still hadn't gotten it, even though we asked for it. When I told her we weren't very happy with our service age said sorry, that was it, no discount or coupon for next time. Probably wont be going back.

The service here was great and the restaurant was clean. Now for the bad; the food. I got the short ribs with the risotto. The risotto was crunchy and tastless. I took a few bites and I was done with it. The short ribs were not tender and sort of grisly. Even though the service was spotless, it could not save the awful tastless overpriced food.

I was hopeful! We all wanted it to be good. We were all hungry for Italian food. We should have gone to an Italian restaurant - but all we found was OG. Clean and shiny with bland, over-cooked (pre-made?) pasta. There are excellent locally-owned Italian places within minutes of this place.

    (2)
  • Wendy W.

Absolutely disgusting. I have no idea what type of mind control the OG perpetrates on the masses to get SO MANY people to eat there so consistently! My husband begged to go here yesterday because he was craving the big, endless salad, so I acquiesed, against my better judgement. My daughter used to work here and I know from her that most of their food is frozen and just warmed up. Indeed, the tortellini I had tasted exactly like what you can get at Walmart - salty and bland. I am a big eater and I hardly ever leave food on a plate, i'll eat it or take it home, but I ate about a third of my dish and left the rest. I'll say, I did enjoy the salad, though it is iceberg. Why do you eat here masses??? Why why why? Especially with Pizzaria Corvina right around the corner (look it up)? Stop rewarding the OG for disgusting food!!!

Ok, so it's a chain Italian place... I never expect greatness, but I've honestly never had a meal here that I'd say was bad. The food has always been ok. The service is good once you get seated, so I'm probably kicking in the extra star here for consistency of the food and decent service. I will admit the salad and breadsticks are pretty good. I could get decent meal out of that alone. What gets me is that every time I've ever been here, there's a huge line to get a table? It surprises me that this place has such a following. At any rate, they are obviously doing something right as it appears from the outside that business is good. I'll keep coming back from time to time as my wife really likes the place. For chain Italian though, I'd rather save some money and just hit up Fazoli's or something.

    (3)
  • John A.

Nothing special here, just your typical fast food mass-produced italian food. If you have ever had real Italian you will notice the difference. I laugh when I see people go in there and sample the cheap wine (I guess they dont know better) and dress up as if its a 5 star restaurant...LOL. Its the equivalent of Italian McDonalds.

I visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago and this place had awesome food. I loved their unlimited soup and salad that evening. Thao our server did a great job to ensure we had everything we needed and if we enjoyed the food. We also visited this place a little late in the evening and the ambiance was pretty enjoyable. We ordered the Tomato Basil Pasta with Minestrone soup. Both the dishes were up to the mark the Pasta cooked with the Tomato sauce was gourmet. We enjoyed our food and are definitely going to come back to this restaurant.

The 3 stars are for their soup and salad lunch. Pretty much the only reason I ever go here. I mean, it is a chain but their food really isn't that bad. If all else fails, at least they have good bread sticks!

I got taken here by a friend and it is not the usual Olive Garden he takes me too. I must say I was impressed by the layout and decor. Much better than at the one we usually frequent. After that everything proceeded to go downhill. I ordered a drink which the waiter had never heard of. This even though this was an a supposed Italian restaurant and the drink is one of the best known ones from Italy. I repeated myself several times and finally just told him to ask the bartender. My request was answered by the manager on duty who asked me what I wanted to drink. I explained I had already placed my drink order. He replied yes but the bartender had never heard of it so was asking me for a second choice. I brought the recipe up on my phone in seconds. I guess it is to much for a bartender to look up a drink they don't know and add an additional seven or eight dollars to a ticket. I settled for a cheap ice tea. I didn't think it was possible for the service to sink lower. I was mistaken. One of my dining companions had the tour of Italy. One of the dishes is chicken parmesan. The parmesan part was ok but he had trouble finding the chicken. It used to be a decent thickness but what was served was pounded so thin as to be almost non existent. My other dining companion and myself had the bottomless pasta bowl. Last time I was at the other restaurant I had the four mushroom sauce. It was extraordinary. This time the closest I saw to it was a mushroom sauce topped by sun dried mushrooms. Well it was heavy on the sauce and light on the mushrooms. The sun dried tomatoes sprinkled on top had the look and taste of candy. Not a pleasant combination. For the second course I ordered a pasta with their signature meat sauce. Bottomless pasta dish is right. It was heavy on pasta with only a drizzle of sauce. My dining companion that also had ordered the bottomless pasta dish requested the optional addition unlimited roasted chicken. It was barely present in his first dish and completely lacking in his second. This is about as bad as it gets for food and service. Needless to say I won't be going back and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs. I give it one star as the website won't let me post a zero.

I am sorry, I have to say that I am very disappointed with this Restaurant. The service was great and that is why I am giving it a star. However, the food is really not good, the wine was OK but the food, it can be much better. Olive Garden you need to really taste the menu, the plates look great in the menu but they don't taste was well.

Even though this is a chain, I think people are too hard on them. I've seen many worse incidents of chain restaurants. Our waiter was a doll, take out service from here is always a breeze, and as we all know, Olive Garden is just that. Chain Italian. The drinks are good, staff is friendly, and the food is well prepared and served quickly. All of these factors will have me coming back when I'm in a bind for dinner, or if I want quick Italian(Not to be confused with a "Quick Italian." Those I like to stay as long as they like.)

The new shrimp tortellini was delicious, but the drinks were completely off, I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
